Kidal Temple is one of the temples of the Singhasari kingdom which was built as a form of respect to King Anusapati. This temple was built for the King to get the glory, built in 1248 AD after the funeral ceremony 'Cradha' for Anusapati. Kidal Temple has a distinctive architectural form of East Javanese culture, with a Hindu temple as the background.

This temple was made using andesite stone with vertical geometric dimensions. The walls are filled with reliefs, the temple yard is surrounded by rows of stones that function as fences.

The hallmark of the Kidal Temple is the statue of an eagle that is on each side of the foot of the temple. The existence of the statue reportedly depicts the story of the devotion and love of Garudeya, an eagle who saved his mother from slavery. Not only the cultural and historical values are thick, but this temple also has a very stunning view. The environment of the left-handed temple looks beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with various trees and flowers of various types as decoration.
