Bojan Hodak Reacts to Rumors of Being a Candidate for the Indonesian National Team Coach

Holiday Ayo - Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak has responded to rumors that he is a candidate for the new Indonesian national team coach.
This is due to his success in leading Persib Bandung to the Liga 1 title for two consecutive seasons in 2023/2024 and 2024/2025.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has officially terminated its partnership with Patrick Kluivert as the Indonesian national team coach. This follows Kluivert's failure to lead Indonesia to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The Indonesian national team coaching position is currently vacant. Various speculations have emerged regarding potential replacements for Kluivert, including Frank de Boer and Bojan Hodak, who has achieved success in the Indonesian League.
Responding to the rumors, Bojan Hodak declined to take them too seriously, as there has been no offer from the PSSI.
"Thank you very much. I don't want to comment [on becoming the Indonesian national team coach]. That's a rumor, there are always a lot of rumors out there. But you should ask the PSSI about this. Don't ask me," said Bojan Hodak, as quoted by Detik.
The rumor of Bojan Hodak being linked to becoming the Indonesian national team coach has been widely discussed on social media. Some netizens support him, while others disagree.
"Who started the rumor that he'll coach our national team anyway?" said one netizen.
"Bojan is a good fit. He really understands Indonesian and Asian football. He's proven himself at Persib. Hopefully, a deal can be reached with the PSSI," said another netizen.
"
He's already at Persib, why go to the national team? Who recommended him to the national team? Hilarious," said another netizen.
"If this person is good in Asia, that's fine. But if he's still on the domestic scene, he'd be better off staying [at Persib]," said another netizen.
