Holiday Ayo - Mount Lawu has long been known for its various beauties on its slopes. Various interesting natural attractions are scattered in all corners of this mountain. In the western part, precisely in Karanganyar Regency, there is one interesting tour, namely the Semar Statue.

This tourist attraction offers a garden with a typical view of the green and beautiful hilly area. Even though it has only been managed as a tourist attraction for a few years, this place is immediately able to attract the attention of tourists. its strategic location and prominently seen from the highway make it easy to find.

The Semar statue is on the edge of the main road leading to the Tawangmangu tourist area. As the name implies, the hallmark of this park is a giant semar statue. The statue stands on a hill with the background of Mount Lawu.

Around the parking area, tourists can see views of rice fields and plantations typical of the foot of the mountain. Its location which is not too far from the city center makes this park suitable for recreation or just relaxing with family.

Investigating a calibration, it turns out that this Semar statue building has been around since 1986. Initially, the statue was privately owned and built by rich people who lived in the area. Every month, relatives of the owner of the statue come to meditate. The activity is usually at night inside the semar statue which has an area of about six square meters. In short, the statue was finally sold in 2018 and later developed into a tourist park.

For tourists who want to visit the Tawangmangu tourist area on the slopes of Mount Lawu, they will definitely pass this park. From the highway the statue is very clearly standing on a hill. That's why this place is often used as a resting spot before continuing the journey to tourism on the slopes of Lawu.

Tourists can sit on the grass near the pond. Although not too big, the atmosphere in the pool area is very serene. Colorful flowers, palm trees, and rocks make anyone feel at home for long in this park. Around the pool area, tourists can also see the ducks swimming. This gives the feel of a fairy tale.

Having an area of at least 1.5 hectares, this park keeps interesting things in every corner. The view of rice fields, vegetable plantations, hills to Mount Lawu is a charm that can be seen from here.

Then in one corner of the park there is a pavilion building. From the pavilion, tourists can see clearly the natural scenery around it. The area is also very shady with trees around it.

This tourist attraction is located in Gedangan Village, Gerdu, Karangpandan District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The location is very easy to find because it is right on the side of the highway. From the city center of Karanganyar to the Semar Statue, it is only about 12 kilometers and can be reached in approximately 20 minutes.
