Entering the second floor, you will also find a fairly large panel with an explanation regarding the making of a keris. You will also find an explanation of the manufacturing process with several display statues.


The process of making a keris begins with the giving of offerings as a form of application for permission because it will perform a big event. This offering is made twice, the first time when keris is forged and the second when the keris has been shaped. After the offering ritual, the process of forming keris begins. Forging to clean the dirt, then in the shape of an indentation, then making gonja and greneng, then sharpening the blade, and the last process is hardening the keris. Then before installing the line, the keris maker coats the iron with warangan.
