Heading into a Decade with Manchester City, Guardiola Backed to Become Spanish National Team Coach

Holiday Ayo - Manchester City legend David Silva has offered an interesting insight into Pep Guardiola's future after leaving the Etihad Stadium.
As is known, Guardiola will remain as Manchester City manager for another two years. He is also supported in continuing his career as coach of the Spanish national team.
Guardiola is approaching a decade at Man City, having joined in 2016. During Guardiola's tenure, the Citizens have been at the peak of their success, winning 18 trophies, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and one Champions League.
After his contract expires in 2027, Guardiola has stated that he will take a long break. Meanwhile, Luis de la Fuente is under contract with the Spanish national team for another three years, meaning two major tournaments are coming up: the 2026 World Cup and Euro 2028.
Former Manchester City star David Silva believes Pep Guardiola is the only one best suited to replace De la Fuente if he leaves the Spanish national team. Guardiola adheres to a philosophy similar to La Roja's.
"I would love to see him as Spain manager," said David Silva, as reported by the Mirror. "Luis de la Fuente is doing a phenomenal job, but it would be great to have Pep in the future."
"He can bring a style of football based on good ball control and always carrying the mission of winning games. A bit like the philosophy of the current Spanish national team," said the 125-cap Spain player.
