KAI Daop I Jakarta Starts Selling Train Tickets for Christmas and New Year Holidays

Holiday Ayo - Ahead of the 2022/2023 Christmas and New Year holidays, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has started selling Train (KA) tickets. Sales of these train tickets for departures during the holiday transportation period are from 22 December 2022 to 8 January 2023.
As cited from money.kompas.com, Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa said that ticket reservations can now be made 45 days before the scheduled departure or H-45.
"As of today, tickets for scheduled departures until January 1, 2023 can already be ordered," said Eva, Friday (11/18).
Eva said, since it opened on November 7, currently 53,500 tickets have been sold for the departure period December 22 to January 1 2023. According to her, this number can still increase considering that ticket orders are still ongoing through online sales according to the D-45 conditions.
"Then starting November 17, 2022, the public can also purchase train tickets for departure on January 1, 2023," he said.
Eva continued, train tickets can be purchased through the KAI Access Application, the kai.id website, Contact Center 121, Counter Box and all other official KAI ticket booking partners. Meanwhile, ticket purchases at the new station can be made starting 3 hours before the scheduled departure.
"Some of the favorite destinations for train passengers from Gambir and Pasar Senen include Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Surabaya, Malang, Cirebon, Bandung and Tegal," he said.
Following are the complete requirements for traveling using long-distance trains according to SE 84 of the Ministry of Transportation:
1. Age 18 and over:
a) Compulsory third vaccine (booster)
b) Foreigners who come from overseas travel, are required to get a second vaccine
c) Not/have not been vaccinated for medical reasons must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital
2. Age 6-17 years:
a) Mandatory second vaccine
b) Derived from overseas travel, vaccines are not mandatory
c) Not/have not been vaccinated for medical reasons must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital
3. Customers under 6 years of age are not required to be vaccinated and are not required to show negative results for Rapid Test Antigen or RT-PCR but must be accompanied by a companion who meets travel requirements.
