Holiday Ayo - Lion Air flight JT-992 route Makassar to Kendari on Thursday (18/5) experienced flight delays because it failed to land due to bad weather. 

This flight is scheduled to depart from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport at 10.40 WITA and land at Halu Oleo Kendari Airport at 13.00 WITA.

However, due to bad weather, the plane returned to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport. The plane was only able to fly again from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport at 12.16 WITA and land at Halu Oleo Kendari Airport at 13.25 WITA. 

This incident was shared by one of the passengers on the JT-992 flight, Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Anis Hidayah on his Twitter account @anishidayah. 

Anis said the JT-992 plane had almost landed at Halu Oleo Airport. But when it will reach the runway, the plane rose again. 

“It was announced that because there was wind pressure in the tail of the plane that exceeded the maximum limit, it could be dangerous," Anis wrote, Thursday (18/5). 

Next, the plane returned to the air and circled in the air for about 20 minutes. Until finally the plane was able to land safely at Halu Oleo Kendari Airport in Konsel Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. 

“The plane rose again for about 20 minutes, then turned around. Then it can land," he said.

Anis said he had asked the flight attendant regarding the failed landing incident. 

“When I was about to get off I asked the flight attendant about the risks if I still landed, she said it could go too far, slip, or other possibilities," he explained. 

In fact, based on the statement of a shuttle bus driver at Halu Oleo Kendari Airport, the JT-992 plane had disappeared from the radar.

“The driver who picked us up at the Kendari airport said that the plane that the mother was on had disappeared from the radar for 10 minutes," said Anis. 

Even so, he was grateful that the plane could land safely at Halu Oleo Kendari Airport. 

“Thank God we landed safely. Thank you Captain Nikson Aris, captain on flight JT 0992 from Makasar-Kendari," he wrote.
