Angel Falls Waterfall in Venezuela, World Highest Waterfall

Holiday Ayo - World has many waterfalls scattered in various regions and countries. Each waterfall also has its own characteristics, some are wide, to towering.
Among the many waterfalls, there is one that has a special uniqueness by bearing the title of the highest waterfall in the world. So which is the highest waterfall in the world? The answer is Angel Falls or Angel Falls.
The height of the falls was measured in 1949 by surveyor Perry Lowrey, during an expedition funded by National Geographic and led by Ruth Robertson.
Angel Falls is formed through faulting. Faulting is the process of movement of rocs along with a break or in the Earth's crust. Faulting causes the displacement of rocks and elevates one block of land above the other. When a river flows down the edge of an elevated block, a waterfall is formed.
Angel Falls is located in Canaima National Park, Bolivar State in southeastern Venezuela. The park is so valuable that it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Within a few years, Angel's story of a mile-high waterfall had been widely publicized through stories and popular media. This was before the height of the falls was measured correctly and before the name, Angel Falls was popularly used.
The route, much of it behind the world's highest waterfall in the world, is now the biggest overhanging free-climb in the world and took nineteen days and fourteen nights to reach a magical wind-sculpted plateau full of exotic plants and animals.
It's recommendable to bring a fleece jacket to keep you warm because even in the tropical jungle, nights can be a little chilly. Wear hiking pants for the overnight trip to Angel Falls.
Lying within the Canaima National Park, Angel Falls is part of the plateau that underlies the lands located in Venezuela to the south of the Orinoco River. The plateau's age is estimated at two billion years.
