Wijaya Karya Beton Wins New Contract of IDR 4.19 Trillion per August
Holiday Ayo - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk alias WIKA Beton (WTON) recorded the acquisition of new contracts of IDR 4.19 trillion until August 2022. This achievement increased by 28.04% compared to the same period last year of IDR 3.28 trillion.
As cited from katadata.co.id, WIKA Beton Corporate Secretary, Dedi Indra, said that WIKA Beton is optimistic that it will be able to achieve its financial performance target by the end of 2022.
"Until June 2022, WIKA Beton has recorded an operating income of IDR 1.85 trillion or a growth of 47.16% compared to the same period last year of IDR 1.26 trillion," said Dedi, Thursday (8/9).
Based on WIKA Beton's financial report, the realized net profit was recorded at IDR 60.29 billion, an increase of 68.59% compared to the same period last year, valued at IDR 35.76 billion.
Projects in the infrastructure sector are the biggest contributor to the acquisition of new contracts for this WTON-coded issuer, with a portion of 66.49%. Then, followed by projects in the property sector at 15.60%, the energy sector at 12.58%, and the mining sector at 3.10% and the industrial sector at 2.23%.
These projects include, Ancol Timur – Pluit Toll Road, Manyar Smelter Project, Coastal Area of Balikpapan City, Indrapura Kisaran Toll Road, Lotte Line Project Cilegon, and Improvement of the Medan Labuhan – Rantau Parapat Railway.
In addition, Makassar New Port Access Toll Road, Jatiluhur SPAM Pipeline Installation, Capacity Building for Cikampek Toll Road KM 50 to KM 67, Semarang – Demak Toll Road and a number of other projects.
"Not only has it been trusted to contribute to several major development projects in the country, WIKA Beton has also taken part in foreign development projects. Namely the Railroad project belonging to the Philippines National Railways (PNR)," said Dedi.
This project was obtained with a strategic alliance in the form of a consortium with 2 (two) local partners in the Philippines with a consortium contract value of IDR 257 billion.
