Travel to Bogor on weekends is a favorite for residents of the capital city and its surroundings. The location is close and there are many tours, which is the main reason Bogor is a favorite tourist destination.
Culinary tourism is no exception. Apart from the new and contemporary ones, there are also typical Bogor foods that are worth trying. There are various types and the taste is delicious.

1. Fried Bean Sprouts

Fried bean sprouts are one of Bogor's special foods that offer a savory and spicy taste. Combined with the original tauco seasoning mixed with oncom.
Even though it is called fried bean sprouts, this typical Bogor food does not go through the frying process but instead is boiled. Fried bean sprouts are complemented with pieces of ketupat, yellow tofu, and yellow noodles. Even more delicious when combined with savory noodle crackers.
2. Laksa Bogor

Well known, laksa is often the perfect dish when visiting Bogor. This food has a savory spicy taste, suitable to be enjoyed when it rains.
This typical Bogor food, which is famous for being rich in spices, does look like soup. This culinary will be more delicious if served with pieces of ketupat, boiled bean sprouts, shredded chicken, yellow tofu, oncom, basil leaves, and pieces of boiled egg as a topping.
3. Pepes Sago

Unlike Pepes in general, this traditional Bogor food has a sweet taste. The basic material used in its manufacture is, of course, sago flour. For the filling in it, usually using several ingredients such as cheese, bananas, or jackfruit.
4. Doclang

This legendary Bogor culinary is increasingly difficult to find. Like gado-gado or ketoprak, dolang is made from rice cake and sprinkled with thick and sweet peanut sauce. Coupled with slices of boiled tofu, scrambled/boiled eggs, and crackers topping on top.
What distinguishes doclang from ketoprak or gado-gado lies in the unique ingredients for making lontong or ketupat. To make it last longer, lontong doclang is made through a processing process by wrapping it in patat leaves which usually grow wild at the foot of Mount Salak. The aroma released from the patat leaves is very fragrant, thus creating a delicious taste in doclang.
5. Grilled Pickled Corn

One of the typical Bogor traditional foods that are in great demand is pickles. Asinan Bogor is very familiar to culinary lovers, such as pickled fruits and vegetables.
But there is something different about this one pickle. The pickles are made using the main ingredients of roasted corn and cucumber. It is also served with a splash of fresh vinegar sauce, which creates a slightly spicy and sour taste. Equipped with noodle crackers to make it more delicious.
