According to Forbes, Husodo, who is ranked as the 38th richest person in Indonesia, has an estimated net worth of US$ 1.1 billion or the equivalent of IDR 16.72 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 15,200/US dollar).

It is known that he became the heir to the company after his father, Go Soei Kie (Dasuki Angkosubroto), died in 2009. At that time the father left the company for Husodo and his three siblings.

As Cited from the company's official website, the Gunung Sewu Group itself was first founded by Husodo Angkosubroto's father in 1953 and only engaged in commodity traders. But under Husodo's leadership, Gunung Sewu has developed into one of Indonesia's premier diversified business groups.

Currently the operating company has covered the fields of food, insurance, property, manufacturing, and other new businesses claiming to have a total professional workforce of around 30,000 people.

In addition, GSK also has the third largest cattle fattening facility in Indonesia, which is located in the middle of a plantation, where pineapple skins are processed into animal feed.

The company's insurance business is run by Indonesian health and life insurance provider Sequis Life, which has total assets of IDR 18.4 trillion. From the property sector, the GSK business is run by developer Farpoint Realty Indonesia.

For information, actually Husodo is not a 'new rich man' whose name has just appeared in the Forbes report. Previously, in 2021, the name Husodo Angkosubroto had also been included in the Forbes list of RI's richest people. His name was included in the 35 richest people at that time.

In that year, Husodo Angkosubroto was estimated to have a net worth of US$ 1.22 billion or the equivalent of IDR 17.51 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 14,350/US$).
