1. Sosro 

 

Sosro is a local brand that produces tea drinks that have existed since the 1940s. This brand was founded by the Sosrodjojo family and was introduced to Jakarta in 1965. 

 

Initially, this brand sold brewed tea under the brand Teh Cap Botol. However, over time, Teh Sosro started selling tea in glass bottles which was later named Teh Botol Sosro and is loved by the public to this day. 

 

Especially now that Sosro's tea packaging is getting more modern and varied. 

 

2. Viva 

 

The cosmetic brand Viva is certainly no stranger to women's ears. Viva still exists today by promoting pocket-friendly quality and prices. 

 

Of course, it is common knowledge that Viva is one of the oldest cosmetic brands in Indonesia. Because Viva was launched by PT Vitapharm which had been established since 1962. 

 

3. Davos 

 

For those of you who grew up in the 1990s and below, of course you are already familiar with the Davos brand.

 

It turns out that this peppermint flavored candy brand has been around since 1931 and was founded by the Slamet Langgeng company owned by Siem Kie Djian, located in Purbalingga, Central Java. Davos began to exist in the 1970s and is still on the market today. 

 

4. Blue Band 

 

This butter product brand has definitely been known by the people of Indonesia since ancient times. The massive advertising strategy helped it to be very well received in the midst of the majority of Indonesian families. 

 

Blue Band itself is a Unilever company product that has existed since 1936 and is still loved by the public today. 

 

5. Semen Padang 

 

In the national manufacturing sector, the name Semen Padang is definitely quite famous. Because this cement brand is the oldest in Indonesia, which was established on March 18, 1910. 

 

At that time, Semen Padang's company was called NV Nederlandsch Indische Portland Cement Maatschappij (NV NIPCM). 

 

But in 1958 after the Dutch left, the factory was taken over by the government. Then in 1995, Semen Gresik Group acquired ownership of the company and in 2012 a merger was carried out under the name PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Where underneath are PT Semen Tonasa and Thang Long Cement.
