Mabok Duren Drink Shop is a favorite place for durian lovers. The owner, Muhamad Aufa, says that he always emphasizes the durian flavor in making the drinks, so he is always using durian flesh as one of the ingredients.

There are around 7 variants of durian drink served in Mabok Duren: Ice Brown Sugar Durian, Ice Milk Durian, Ice Cendol Durian, Ice Coffee Durian, Pinky Dragon Durian, Double Durian, and Pinky Bluster. The drinks are quite low-priced, starting from IDR 17,000 to IDR 27,000.

“Since the day it was established, Mabok Duren Drink Ship only ever sell durian drinks. And then I keep creating new flavors with many variations. Now, there are 7 variants of durian drink that are combined with brown sugar, milk, dragon fruit, coffee, and cendol,” said Aufa.

To keep the quality of the drinks, Mabok Duren also uses good quality ingredients. All the durians that are used have to be tasty and smell nice. For Aufa, good quality durian will make a good quality drink as well.

“I always keep the quality so the customers will be satisfied with the taste of durian drinks that are made here. Once, I bought 2 quintals of frozen ingredients, but it all tasted so bad. In the end, instead of losing customers, I chose to close the shop until I found a good ingredient,” he said.
