This extreme route will be found if you go to Tumpeng Menoreh from the north or Magelang Regency, Central Java. Although administratively located in Ngargoretno Village, Salaman District, Magelang Regency, Tumpeng Menoreh is best reached from the south side or Samigaluh District, Kulon Progo.

The experience of going through the extreme road to Tumpeng Menoreh was told by a visitor named Ditya Pandu Akhmadi. Around September 2021, he and his wife departed from Boyolali Regency on an automatic motorbike. He immediately directed Google Maps to Tumpeng Menoreh.

“On the maps, it is directed through Boyolali via Selo-Borobudur. From Borobudur directly to the Nglinggo Tea Garden," said Ditya as quoted by Kompas.com.

Because he believed in Google Maps, he kept going. Until after Balkondes Ngadiharjo, the road began to narrow and up and down through the Menoreh Hills area. Arriving at Gayam Market, he was advised by local people to just rent an ojek because the road would be even more extreme ahead.

"Because at that time, through Gayam Market, it turned out that there were no ojek drivers, so I immediately followed the path. There is actually a clue there that leads to Tumpeng Menoreh. There is only a prohibition on motorbikes to pass that route because it is an extreme road," said Ditya.

Even so, with reckless capital he still drove through that road. However, it is true that the road is getting more uphill and the descent is getting more extreme. There is even an inscription 'Extreme Motor Ride is prohibited from Riding', the road is made of cast and is quite narrow as well as uphill.

If you go to Tumpeng Menoreh via the proper route, namely via the south, there is no cast road from Samigaluh-Loano main street. Meanwhile, Ditya and his wife were able to get back down safely. His journey at that time failed to reach Tumpeng Menoreh.

However, on the next trip to Tumpeng Menoreh, he managed to get there via Samigaluh District safely back and forth.
