The Underwater Charm of Rubiah Island, Sabang Aceh

Holiday Ayo - Rubiah Island is an uninhabited island in Sabang. Located in the area of Pulau Weh, west of the city of Sabang, Aceh. From Pulau Weh, it is approximately 25 km. In ancient times Rubiah Island was the site of the first Hajj quarantine center in Indonesia. But now the place is not maintained, but its beauty is still maintained until now.
The island with an area of about 2,600 hectares has a charming underwater beauty and is considered very natural.
This island is still beautiful and natural. The beaches are clean and the seawater is very clear, becoming an amazing panorama. Even so clear and clean the seawater on Rubiah Island, a traveler can see the underwater beauty as deep as 20 m without having to dive.
Well, this island with an area of about 2,600 hectares does have an enchanting underwater beauty and is quite natural.
With the diversity of marine life, this island is like a marine park paradise for divers. There are various kinds of colorful coral reefs, as well as various types of fish, such as butterflyfish, flag fish, blue botanical fish, colored fish, grouper fish, sergeant fish, major fish, and others.
Besides fish, there is also another marine biota, such as squid, seaweed, starfish, and shellfish. The fish or marine biota swim from one coral reef to another. The traffic flow of these creatures in the water spoils the eyes of the divers and seems to be friends to enjoy the underwater beauty together.

Although Rubiah Island is uninhabited, here there are stalls that provide various kinds of food, snacks, and drinks, and there is a place to rent all the necessary tools for travelers.
Named Rubiah Island because on this island there is the tomb of Cut Nyak Rubiah or Ummi Sarah Rubiah, the wife of a cleric, Tengku Ibrahim or Tengku Iboih.
In addition, there are several other graves, which according to residents are the graves of Cut Nyak Rubiah's children. Finally, Rubiah's name was used as the name of this island, and the name of her husband was used as the name of her village, namely Iboih Village.
To get to the location, the traveler must first go to Iboih Beach which takes an hour. Then continue the journey by crossing from the Iboih beach pier to Rubiah Island.
