The Scary Doll Island in Mexico

Holiday Ayo - Isla de Las Munecas, is an island in southern Mexico which is also often called Dolls Island or the island of dolls.

Named the island of dolls, Isla de Las Munecas, it has more than a thousand collections of dolls that you can find in this place.

However, don't think these dolls are dolls with a cute and adorable appearance like dolls in general.

In contrast to that, Isla de Las Munecas actually has dolls that look dirty, worn, and creepy.
Isla de Las Munecas is one of the five most terrifying places on earth.

Island of the Dolls is located about 17 miles from the city of Mexico, to be precise in Xochimilco.

Isla de Las Munecas is actually a small island and only overgrown by trees without any inhabitants in it.

But what makes it scary is the number of dolls hanging from the trees on the island of Isla de Las Munecas.

The condition of the dolls that already look worn and scary is because all the dolls on this island come from the trash and their condition is already damaged and dirty.

At first, the island was guarded by a young man named Don Julian Santana Barrera who was ostracized for having an uncontrollable drunken habit.

It is said that the story of Don Julian Santana Barrera is always haunted by the ghost of a little girl who drowned near the island because she could not swim.

Don is constantly haunted by the girl's spirit and begins to become stressed out of fear due to the actions of the girl's spirit. So to calm the spirits, Don started putting the old doll on the tree every day.

As the owner of this island, Don accidentally collects all the dolls from the trash into his island.

He did this to bring peace to the soul of a little boy who had drowned on the island.

These creepy dolls have been collected since the 1950s and are on display scattered along the island and among the trees.

Don is obsessed with saving stranded and discarded dolls as if saving a human child.

Until now, there are already a thousand dolls on this island which is also his home that he lives alone.

For 50 years Don collected dolls from trash cans and drifted there.

Before, no one knew he lived there alone except his family. Then on September 17, 2001 ago, Don Santana died of drowning.

The dolls that have been collected on this island have also attracted the attention of the media and the curious people of Isla de Las Munecas.

Until now, the island of dolls is visited by many tourists who have the guts to be brave enough because the atmosphere on this island makes goosebumps.
