Sinonggi, Typical Food of the Kendari Tolaki Tribe

Sago is also able to improve joint and bone health.
In Southeast Sulawesi, Singonggi will be juxtaposed with various side dishes that are also rich in nutrients. Like fresh vegetables and fish that make sinonggi even more delicious. This special food consists of songgi. Songgi itself is a processed sago shaped like a rubbery and sticky glue. Because of this stickiness, this food must be served with side dishes that have gravy.
Songgi itself is made in an easy way by washing the sago first as the first step. After the sago is clean, the sago can be added directly to water and then filtered. Then it is deposited for a few minutes until the water separates from the sago. If there is sediment, you can immediately separate the sago with water. Sago that has been separated is immediately doused using boiling water and stirred until thick.

The side dish that is most often juxtaposed with Songgi is clear vegetables. Clear vegetables containing spinach leaves and long beans are more common. Vegetables for clear vegetables can be corn or carrots, even vegetables that can be clear can also be juxtaposed. Some also use vegetables in coconut milk as a side dish for Sinonggi's meals.
