Shopping for Souvenirs at Joger Bali

Holiday Ayo - Cited from rentalmobilbali.net, if you are going to Bali Province of for vacation, you should visit Joger Bali before you go home. It is known among tourists as a great place to hunt for the typical souvenirs of Bali. Especially the unique Joger’s special t-shirts, with various interesting words and quotes.

Joger Bali offers some original products, and these products can only be bought in Bali because it does not have any store branch outside this region. The name of the place is taken from the name of its owners, Joseph Theodorus Wulianadi and Gerhard Seeger. The name combines both of their first names into “Joger”.

At first, Joger Bali was opened at Sulawesi Street, Number 37, in Denpasar. However, on July 7th 1987, the shop moved to Kuta Main Road, right next to the supermarket Supernova.

Joger Bali is strategically located near other tourist destinations in Kuta, Bali. If you go there from Kuta Beach, then it will take around 20 minutes, with the distance being around 1,3 km. Although the parking area is actually pretty large, because there are so many visitors almost every day, it is often times full. Especially during school holidays, New Years, and Eid Al-Fitr.

Other than in Kuta Main Road, Joger Bali has opened another branch. It is located at Mekarsari Street, Number 16, Luwus, Baturiti Bedugul. It is quite close to Bedugul Botanical Garden.

When visitors first enter the outlet of Joger Bali, they will be welcomed by the workers and a sticker will be put on them, as a sign of entering. There is a room for t-shirts only, and there is a room for other souvenirs, like mugs, sandals, keychains, and other knick-knacks, including Joger’s original backward watches.

The prices ranges from 88,000 IDR to 250,000 IDR but this can change depending on the situation. They are focusing more on the materials so the items will not break easily. Sadly, Joger products cannot be bought online.

For the operational hour, both stores of Joger Bali in Kuta and Mekarsari are opened at 10 a.m. local time. However, they have different closing time. The store in Kuta is closed at 5 p.m. local time, while the store in Mekarsari is closed at 08:30 p.m. local time.
