An example is Madiun in East Java. Who doesn't know that the city is famous for its pecel dish? Pecel Madiun is arguably one of the most legendary types of pecel in East Java with its characteristic savory and spicy taste.

If you have the opportunity to visit Madiun, enjoying a plate of pecel is certainly not to be missed. However, there's nothing wrong with trying other traditional dishes as a form of preserving Indonesian cuisine.

Besides pecel, there are several Madiun specialties that must be tried. One of them is Pentol Corah. Regarding snacks, Madiun also has a pentol corah which is similar to the typical Bandung cilok snack. Pentol Corah are widely sold and produced in Rejomulyo, Kertoharjo.

In that area, there are dozens of residents selling Pentol Corah in front of their houses. The way they present their wares is also different. Some use the concept of a street vendor, some use a concept like a cafe. Turning the front of his house into such a way, with dozens of chairs and tables for buyers.

Pentol Corah is made from a mixture of starch, tofu, water, and seasonings such as garlic and salt. All ingredients are mixed well and molded into a baking dish and then steamed until cooked.

Once cooked, the pentol corah is cut into small pieces and can be given a complementary menu such as crackers or chicken claws then given a spicy chili sauce for dipping. The taste of the pentol corah tends to be savory and very spicy.
