Malela Waterfall, the Mini Niagara Falls in Indonesia

Holiday Ayo - One of the exciting waterfalls in West Bandung is Malela Waterfall.

Malela waterfall has a height of between 60 to 70 meters with a width of approximately 50 meters.

With the upstream of the river originating from the northern part of Mount Kendeng, then flowing to form a network of the Cidadap River, and empties into Cisokan.

The flow of the water is so heavy, the sound is fun to hear, it stimulates adrenaline to imagine amazing natural phenomena. The swift water makes the temperature in the tourist area cool. Sometimes this atmosphere is combined with other natural beauty, namely seeing long-tailed monkeys drinking at the bottom of Malela Waterfall.



Malela Waterfall is included in a series of 1 km long waterfalls with seven waterfalls, each of which has its own uniqueness. If sorted from the top is Curug Malela, Katumiri, Manglid, Ngebul, Sumpel, Palisir, with the cover of Curug Pamengpeuk. All are located in Cicadas Village, West Bandung.

Many say that this waterfall is a mini Niagara Falls.

To reach this tourist spot is quite tiring, so it takes a strong physique and complete preparation of food or drink.

If you want to come to this waterfall, you should come when it rains, because the road access is not good and inadequate.

When it rains the access road is slippery and muddy making it difficult to get to that location.

Malela waterfall is located in Manglid Village, Cicadas Village, Rongga District, West Bandung Regency.

To get to Malela waterfall, travelers can take a route from the Padalarang toll exit to Cimareme, Batujajar, Cililin, Sindangkerta, Mount Halu, Bunijaya, and Rongga.



When you arrive at Cicadas Village, you still have to walk again, or you can choose to take a motorcycle taxi to Malela Waterfall. If calculated from the trip from the center of Bandung City, it takes approximately 3-4 hours to get to the location of the Malela waterfall tourist attraction.

For travelers who want to choose to take public transportation, take the center point from Leuwi Panjang Terminal, then choose public transportation majoring in Cimahi-Cililin.

From Cililin, then continue the journey by public transportation Elf or minibus to Mount Halu Buni Jaya.

Arriving at the Buni Jaya Terminal, you can use an ojol (online motorcycle taxi) to Cicadas Village.

Although the location of the Malela waterfall is quite hidden and difficult to access, this waterfall is one of the favorite natural tourist destinations in Bandung.
