Not far from Semarang City, in Tembalang, there is a small hidden coffee shop. As if covered in leather and not protruding, this one shop presents a thick Japanese taste.

Hiroshi, the name alone is very Japanese. How about the looks? If you think Hiroshi is decorated with flashy Japanese neon lights, then you are very wrong. You can find this Japanese-concept shop in a residential alley, with a minimalist architecture dominated by white that makes it look like a house.

His domicile is on Bukit Umbul Street, Number 54 Tembalang, Semarang, Central Java. It's in an alley, but not too remote to find either. The proximity to Sumurboto Square makes Hiroshi easy to find. If from Jl. Prof. Sudarto, turn left after the gas station. Then go straight on Bukit Umbul Street until he found Hiroshi's name sign.

Various types of menus are available with a thick Japanese accent at this Hiroshi. There is Maiko, milk coffee that is a mainstay at this coffee shop. Creamy milk texture gives a softness with every sip. Even though the milk tends to be creamy, it doesn't spoil the taste of the coffee, which is bitterly soothing.

At Hiroshi Cefe there is also a smoothie variant called onam. Smelled fresh orange-flavored smoothie. This one drink is not too sweet and makes you feel nauseous, because the presence of orange which neutralizes the taste becomes equal.

As for the food, what you can get is okonomiyaki. Slices of cabbage mixed with flour mixture then baked. The combination tastes really good like bakwan but with a typical Japanese sauce.

For the price itself is quite cheap. A glass of maiko milk coffee costs IDR 27,000. Not much different from maiko, ordering a portion of onam you just spend IDR 25,000. Meanwhile, if you want to try okonomiyaki, prepare IDR 20,000.
