2. Tempo and Rhythm

In other traditional dances, dancers will usually be accompanied by traditional musical instruments such as gamelan. But in the Seudati dance, the rhythm and tempo of the song comes from the dancers who perform it. This dance only relies on the sound of chest and hip clapping. Then stomp your feet and snap your fingers.

Apart from the sounds above, the Seudati dance is also accompanied by singing from two dancers who have been selected. The song is sung according to the movement being performed. The movements performed by the dancers also adjust to the tempo and rhythm of the song being sung.
