Gong Dance is a traditional dance of the Dayak tribe in the province of East Kalimantan that uses gongs as a medium in dancing. This dance is played by a girl who dances on a gong with great majesty. The name Gong Dance itself is taken from the gong musical instrument used in dancing. Gong dance is often referred to as the Kancet Ledo dance by the Dayak people there.

The movements in this Gong Dance depict the tenderness of a girl as seen from the movements of her body and soft hands. The movements in this dance are not so much like other East Kalimantan dances, in fact many movements are repetitive. However, the highlight of this dance is the softness of the dancers in moving and dancing. The movement in this dance focuses more on hand movements when waving, body movements, and foot movements when stepping on and resting on the gong. All these moves are played very gently. This dance does look simple, but flexibility and balance are needed in this dance.

In the show, the dancers are clad in traditional Dayak Kenyah clothes in East Kalimantan Province, namely clothes decorated with brightly colored beads and typical Dayak patterns equipped with taah. This tuna is a typical Dayak women's clothing in the form of cloth decorated with beads. The tail is usually worn by wrapping it around the waist. In addition, the head dancer usually uses lavung, which is a hat made of rattan decorated with a pattern similar to clothes and also taah. Other accessories used are beaded necklaces or those made of teeth or from tiger fangs.

When dancing, the dancer's hands insert a series of tail feathers from hornbills as a dancing property. Almost the same as the horn dance, but in this dance the movements used are softer and simpler. This dance is also accompanied by traditional musical instruments such as the sapeq or traditional musical instruments such as the harp. The rhythm of the accompaniment in this dance is slow. So that it adapts to the graceful movements of the dancers.

Gong Dance is often performed in various traditional events such as welcoming guests and cultural festivals in the province of East Kalimantan. This dance is still preserved so that it undergoes many modifications and creations in the movements and costumes worn. All of that to make it more interesting and can also attract tourists who come to visit.
