Holiday Ayo - Ranca Upas or Cai Ranca Upas Village is one of the campsites in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Located on Raya Ciwidey Patenggang Street, Alam Endah, Ciwidey Bandung Regency, with a distance of about 50 km from the center of Bandung City.

Kampung Cai Ranca Upas has an area of about 215 hectares, located at 1700 meters above sea level, with air temperatures around 17 °C - 20 °C.

Around the area, it is filled with protected forests with a variety of flora such as Huru Trees, Hamirug, Jamuju, Kihujan, Kitambang, Kurai, Pasang and Puspa. While the fauna consists of various types of birds, as well as several other tame animals.

The name “Upas” was taken from a Dutchman who was lost in this forest and whose body is never found. The legend says he haunts this place. Don’t be discouraged by the horror story, Ranca Upas is a pleasant place overall.

The vast camping ground at Cai Ranca Upas Village can accommodate up to 10.000 campers. Its wide area means that visitors can pick any spot without having to worry about annoying neighbors.

Playing With The Deer



Javan deer at Ranca Upas is shy. They approach visitors during feeding times only, and when a caretaker is present. The best way to lure this animal is by bringing some carrots as a peace offering. Chances are the deer will approach visitors.

Ranca Upas Hot Spring & Fun Park



Adrenaline junkies can choose among these action-packed activities: mountain biking, paintball, fun archery, and flying fox.

Visitors will shoot some arrows while riding a horse. Rent a canoe and paddle idly around Ranca Upas’ lake while enjoying the chilly weather.

Ranca Upas also has a hot spring. Tourists can get rid of last night’s cold by taking a relaxing hot bath here.

Cai Ranca Upas Village Entrance Fee

An entrance ticket is IDR 44.000 with an additional overnight charge of IDR 11.000. Attractions and rides will have their own ticket, starting from IDR 10.000.

Cai Ranca Upas Village also offers complete camping equipment, from tents to firewood.

For tents with a capacity of 2-3 people for IDR 150,000, team tents with a capacity of 20 people IDR 350,000 sleeping bags IDR 20,000 and reservations for an area of IDR 500,000 for the price of other equipment are still the general standard price.

How To Get To Cai Ranca Upas Village

From Bandung Leuwi Panjang Bus Terminal, tourists can take a bus heading to Ciwidey Bus Terminal. The bus route is LW.PANJANG-CIWIDEY and has 23 stops between Leuwi Panjang Terminal to Ciwidey.

The nearest stop from Bandung Suleyman Airport is Terusan Kopo-Soreang 300. From Ciwidey Terminal, take a yellow public minivan heading to the Patenggang area. Ask the driver to stop in front of Ranca Upas’ entrance gate.

A private option is available for visitors who want to avoid inconvenience caused by too many transits. A rented car is affordable starting at IDR 350.000 for day rent. It takes around 2 hours to get to Ranca Upas from Bandung.
