Holiday Ayo - Putuk Truno Waterfall is an alternative waterfall tour that is not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Of the many popular tourist attractions from Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Putuk Truno Waterfall includes waterfalls scattered at the foot of Mount Arjuno - Welirang.

With a height of 45 meters, this waterfall displays stunning natural scenery. The swift flow of water is covered by unspoiled forests and the cool air of the highlands, besides being beautiful to look at.

The existence of this waterfall can not be separated from legends and myths from generation to generation. Couples who soak under this waterfall are believed to be in a relationship of eternal love. It is said that this is because Putuk Truno is the place where the love of Joko Taruno, the prince of Majapahit, and Putri Sri Gading Lestari, the daughter of the ruler of Madura, unite.

Once upon a time, King Hayam Wuruk and a concubine had a son named Joko Taruno. This prince from Majapahit then fell in love with a daughter named Putri Sri Gading Lestari. The princess's father, Raja Arya Wiraraja, did not approve of the relationship. The Princess was exiled to be imprisoned at Coban Baung, a waterfall in Purwodadi.

Joko Taruno was imprisoned in Putuk Truno in order to get the strength to free and return with the princess. With his persistence, Joko Taruno managed to reunite with his lover and brought him to Putuk Truno. It is this legend that gave rise to the myth that Putuk Truno Waterfall can strengthen the love of lovebirds.

Even though it is surrounded by dense forest, this tourist attraction is easily accessible. Visitors do not need extra energy such as tens of minutes trekking or physical endurance to go through extreme trails.

From the parking area, visitors must step onto the footpath. Not a slippery road covered with red soil, but a road with paving blocks decorated with ornamental plants on either side. Thus, visitors do not need to worry about safety and comfort factors.

Please note that this road on the right side is a forest, while the other side is a ravine. Don't let your guard down and fall because you are fascinated by the beauty of the panorama of the forest and cliffs around you. It doesn't take long to get to the location of the waterfall.

With a heavy flow, this waterfall seems dangerous if approached. But don't worry, the falling water produces a shallow lake at the bottom. Decorated with natural rocks, this lake holds very clear and clean water.

This tourist attraction is managed and cared for properly, so that it is clean and comfortable for recreation. There are huts for picnics while enjoying the beauty of the waterfall from a distance. There is also a bamboo platform that provides the best view of this waterfall.

Putuk Truno Waterfall is located on Putuk Truno Street, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The location can be reached by using two-wheeled and four-wheeled private vehicles. Narrow roads need to be considered for those who want to come in groups using large buses.
