The Reason these Famous Restaurants have to be Willing to Lose their Michelin Stars

Holiday Ayo - Getting a Michelin star is one of the highest honors in the culinary world. Many restaurants are eyeing to win the award.
Michelin stars are only given to quality restaurants in terms of service and menu. However, the acquisition of these stars will be monitored periodically so that it is not impossible that a restaurant that has earned a star will lose its star.
That's what happened to these 3 famous restaurants. After getting a Michelin star, they have to let the star 'go' for several reasons. The following information is quoted from the Daily Meal:

Gordon Ramsay once founded the restaurant Gordon Ramsay at the London in England. The restaurant is a collaboration between him and another business partner. But in 2009, he left the 2-Michelin-star restaurant business.
Following the agreement, after that the restaurant can still operate under its name. The new manager was able to maintain the star. Unfortunately 4 years later, the restaurant lost its Michelin star.
The Michelin Guide considered that all standards at the restaurant had deteriorated after the management was no longer really supervised by Gordon Ramsay. Ramsay's party also provided information to the media that it was no longer connected with the restaurant in London.

Mourad is a famous Moroccan restaurant in San Francisco, United States. This restaurant is one of those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This impact unfortunately also made them lose the 1 Michelin star they had obtained.
Restaurant owner and chef, Mourad Lahlou explains the challenges facing restaurants. One of them is the loss of a large number of employees. They also stressed that they didn't really care about the Michelin stars because during the pandemic, they were only focused on surviving.
Now Mourad is still operating. His party guarantees that losing a Michelin star will not make them experience a decrease in the quality of service and food at their restaurant. Even recently, Mourad became a semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard award in the Outstanding Restaurant category.
3. Faviken

Restaurant in Sweden, Faviken is also one that lost a Michelin star. The owner, chef Magnus Nilsson, did not make this prestigious award a benchmark for success, he even did not hesitate to close his restaurant.
Chef Nilsson says it's difficult to explain to people the closure of his restaurant.
"People think something is wrong or some other external reason. But the reason is because I'm not enjoying it anymore. I don't get up in the morning and say, 'Yeah, this is going to be a great day, I can't wait to get to work.'"
After closing Faviken, chef Nilsson reportedly was no longer interested in the restaurant business. He now prefers to manage the orchard.
