Stadium 974, One of the Venues for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar Can be Dismantled

Holiday Ayo - Stadium 974 at the 2022 World Cup is made of container stacks, making it one of the most unique stadiums. Moreover, the stadium with a capacity of 40 thousand spectators can be disassembled. It is planned that this building will be demolished after the completion of the 2022 World Cup.
The stadium is the only one on the waterfront with spectacular views of the Doha skyline. Stadium 974 was built using standard certified shipping containers and modular steel elements, echoing the nearby port and the plot's industrial history. This concept, makes this stadium can be disassembled.
Even though it can be disassembled, this stadium still has its own characteristics, which are colorful and very modern. The stadium concept was designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects. The stadium's modular design means that fewer normal building materials are needed than in a traditional stadium development, which helps keep construction costs down.
The venue of the stadium can be reached by the Doha Metro from Ras Bu Abboud (Gold Line) station located 800m from the stadium.
The 40,000 capacity stadium, was inaugurated during its digital launch in November 2021 and hosted its first match during the opening day of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup Qatar when the United Arab Emirates play Syria on November 30, 2021.

The first FIFA complaint stadium that can be completely dismantled and reused post-event. This includes flexibility in design to rebuild the same capacity stadium in a different location or build several smaller venues using the same materials.
The stadium received a 5-star rating from the Global Sustainability Rating System (GSAS) for its design and construction. Stadium bowl seating avoids the need for air conditioning as they are designed to be naturally ventilated.
The entire steel structure of the stadium can be recycled and reused post-tournament, based on whichever heritage option is selected. The stadium's water efficiency method ensures reducing water use by 40% compared to conventional stadium construction.
Stadium 974 will host seven matches during the FIFA World Cup, with six group matches and one round of 16 match.
