Holiday Ayo - Rafael Alun Trisambodo, father of the alleged abuse Mario Dandy Satrio, was removed from his position at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance. Rafael's position before being removed was Head of the General Section of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance.

Launching Bisnis.tempo.co, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said the removal was to facilitate the examination of Rafael.

"This removal is to facilitate intensive examination of those concerned," said Suahasil at a press conference from the Office of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Taxes, Friday (24/2).

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil together with Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance Heru Pambudi, Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo, and other Ministry of Finance officials this morning accompanied Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati to provide an explanation of the actions taken by the Ministry of Finance against Rafael.

In her explanation, Sri Mulyani emphasized that she had removed Rafael from his position and duties.

"Starting today, RAT, I ask to be removed from his duties and position," said Sri Mulyani in a virtual press conference from the Directorate General of Taxes, Friday (24/2).

Sri Mulyani said that the basis for Rafael's removal was Article 31 paragraph 1 of Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 concerning Discipline for Civil Servants.

Sri Mulyani emphasized that she had instructed the Inspectorate General to examine Rafael's assets in terms of their fairness.

"I have instructed the Inspectorate General to conduct an inspection of assets, in this case the fairness of the assets of brother RAT. On February 23, the Inspectorate General has conducted an examination of the person concerned in order that the Ministry of Finance is able to examine it," said Sri Mulyani.

Sri Mulyani requested that the investigation of Rafael continue to be followed up in detail and thoroughly to see the level of disciplinary punishment.

"I also request that the investigation into RAT's disciplinary violations be followed up. Currently, an assignment letter for examining RAT's disciplinary violations has been issued Number SP321/Inspectorate General IJ/IG.1/2023," said Sri Mulyani.
