First Round of Malaysia Open 2025, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting Wins Hands down
Holiday Ayo - Indonesian men's singles player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, managed to win in the first round of the 2025 Malaysia Open.
Ginting won against Taiwan's representative, Lee Chia Hao, in the round of 32 with a score of 21-18 and 21-12 at the Axiata Arena Stadium, on Wednesday (8/1).
Due to this result, Ginting advanced to the last 16 of the 2025 Malaysia Open. Ginting admitted that he was grateful for the victory.
Moreover, he admitted that he was able to overcome the obstacles in the condition of the field used for competing.
"The field conditions in the second game were different from the first game and the opponents had a new strategy too," said Ginting in his statement, Wednesday (8/1).
Ginting was behind in scoring points from Hao. Luckily, said Ginting, this could be anticipated by implementing an effective strategy to take over the game again.
"I don't want to burden myself too much, so I just focus on finding a good way to play, even if I lose, there's still the third game," said Ginting.
"I want to be more consistent in implementing strategy. Quickly and accurately read changes in opponents and field conditions," he added.
