Holiday Ayo - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has decided to temporarily close the Tebet Eco Park, South Jakarta for the maintenance of the park and facilities.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria opened his voice about the density of visitors at Tebet Eco Park. He said the provincial government is preparing steps to avoid overcrowding in the area.

"In the future, we are evaluating and we will reorganize it to be better. Maybe one of them will be proposed through an application so that the amount can be regulated, controlled and limited," Riza said as quoted from travel.detik.com, Wednesday (15/6) as quoted from Antara.

The plan came out in response to the increasing number of visits to the Tebet Eco Park. As a result, it causes illegal parking and street vendors who are considered disturbing local residents.

"So there was illegal parking there, then secondly, all those selling there piled up. It disrupted traffic order there and the people around it," said Riza.

For parking problems, Riza plans to provide parking pockets that may be a little far from the park so as not to interfere with community traffic.

Meanwhile, for street vendors, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also plans to set up a stand for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the Tebet Ecopark area.

"So, in the future, it is no longer allowed to park on the sides of the road, traders who sell goods are also not allowed to be on the sidewalk," said Riza.

Riza added that with the orderliness of the park, it is hoped that residents can exercise in a calm, comfortable and safe manner.

Previously, it was reported that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government decided to temporarily close the Tebet Eco Park, South Jakarta. The closure will last until the end of June 2022. The announcement was shared on the @tamanhutandki Instagram page on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 night.

"Thank you friends for the enthusiasm for these two months. For mutual convenience, Tebet Eco Park will be closed until the end of June," wrote the announcement through the Instagram page of the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forests Service (Distamhut), @tamanhutandki, Tuesday (14/6) night.

The purpose of the closure is a form of maintaining the Tebet Eco Park park so that the people of DKI Jakarta can enjoy it safely and comfortably.
