A look at Nurul Iman Palace, the world's largest palace where Prince Mateen received his reception

Holiday Ayo - The fourth son of the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, Prince Abdul Mateen will marry Anisha Rosnah today, Thursday (11/1).
The marriage contract procession will be held at the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.
This royal wedding will last for 10 days, on January 14, Prince Mateen and Anisha will hold a reception at the Nurul Iman Palace. That is where state guests will be entertained.
Quoting the official Guinness World Records page, Istana Nurul Iman is the largest residential palace in the world, located in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.
This palace is the official residence of the 29th sultan of Brunei. Nurul Iman Palace has an area of 200,000 square meters with 1,788 room facilities.
The palace is also equipped with 257 bathrooms and a banquet hall for 5,000 guests. This palace garage can accommodate up to 110 cars and has 5 swimming pools.
But this is not enough, what is most surprising is the horse stable. Yes, this palace has an air-conditioned stable that can accommodate 200 horses!
This palace is also equipped with a mosque with a capacity of 1,500 people. The helipad also complements the luxury of the Nurul Iman Palace.
According to Lonely Planet, this palace is even more beautiful because it has gold doorknobs! Nurul Iman Palace was built within two years.
At that time, Brunei completed development and became independent from Britain on January 1, 1984. This building was designed by Filipino architect Leandro V Locsin.
Meanwhile, the interior design was designed by British architect, Khuan Chew. Nurul Iman Palace was built by the Ayala Corporation at a cost of around USD 1.4 billion at that time.
The materials used in the decoration are very luxurious, namely Italian marble, Shanghai granite, English glass and the finest silk from China.
